The Kawasaki Z200 motorcycle was produced between 1978 and 1979. It featured a four-stroke, single-cylinder engine with a capacity of 198cc and a bore x stroke of 66 x 58 mm. The bike was air-cooled with a 26mm Keihin carburetor and battery coil ignition. It had a kick start and could produce a maximum power of 17 hp / 12.4 Kw at 8,000 rpm. The transmission was five-speed with a final drive of a chain. The front suspension was telescopic forks, while the rear suspension had dual shocks.
