The Kawasaki Ninja 250R was produced from 2013-2014 with a parallel twin, DOHC engine that had a capacity of 248cc. It had a liquid cooling system, wet sump lubrication and fuel injection with 2x 28 mm throttle bodies. The engine had a compression ratio of 11.6:1 and could produce a maximum power of 29.9 hp at 10500 rpm and max torque of 21.7 Nm at 10000 rpm. The motorcycle had a semi-double cradle, high-tensile steel frame and 37mm hydraulic telescopic fork for front suspension. It had single 260mm hydraulic petal disc with 2 piston caliper brakes at the front, and single 220mm petal disc with 2 piston caliper brakes at the rear.
