The Kawasaki KLR 250 (1993-96) is a four-stroke single-cylinder motorcycle with a capacity of 249cc and a maximum power of 30hp at 8500 rpm. The bike has a Keihin CVK34 carburetor, CDI ignition, and a six-speed transmission with a final drive chain. The front suspension is an air-adjustable leading-axle fork with a front wheel travel of 231 mm, while the rear suspension is a Uni-Trak single shock with adjustable preload and 4-way rebound damping, also with a rear wheel travel of 231 mm. The front brakes are a single 250mm disc with a 2 piston caliper, and the rear brakes are a drum. The bike has a dry weight of 117 kg, a fuel capacity of 11 liters, and a seat height of 856 mm. The Kawasaki KLR 250 was road tested in 1994 and reviewed positively in the Enduro Test by Tuttomoto.
