The Husqvarna TE450 (2002-03) is a four-stroke, single-cylinder, DOHC, 4-valve motorcycle with a capacity of 449 cc/27.4 cu-in, a liquid cooling system, and a compression ratio of 12.0:1. It has a maximum power of 46.9 hp/34.5 kW at 8500 rpm and maximum torque of 41.5 Nm/30.6 lb-ft at 7000 rpm. The clutch is hydraulically-actuated multiplate wet, and the transmission has six speeds with a chain final drive. The frame is made of steel single-tube cradle with round tubes, and the rear frame is in light alloy. The front suspension is a Marzocchi “Upside-Down” telescopic hydraulic fork with advanced axle compression and rebound stroke adjustment, while the rear suspension is a Sachs progressive “Soft Damp” type with a single hydraulic shock absorber, spring preload adjustment, compression and rebound adjustment. The front and rear brakes are a single 260mm and 220mm disc respectively. It has a height of 1290 mm/50.8 in, a length of 2215 mm/87.2 in, and a width of 820 mm/32.3 in. Its dry weight is 116 kg/255.7 lbs, and its fuel capacity is 7.7 litres/2.0 US gal.
