Husqvarna SM 701 (2017)

The Husqvarna SM 701 Supermoto motorcycle was released in 2017 and features a four-stroke, single-cylinder engine with a capacity of 692.7 cc. It has a compression ratio of 12.7:1, with liquid cooling and pressure lubrication. The bike uses an exhaust system made from stainless steel with a catalytic converter as well as engine management by Keihin EMS with Ride By Wire technology. The motorcycle has a maximum power output of 55 kW or 74 hp at 8000 rpm and a maximum torque of 71 Nm or 7.24 kgf-m or 52.4 ft-lb at 6750 rpm. It is equipped with a slipper clutch, hydraulic transmission with a 6-speed final drive through a chain X-ring. The chassis is made of chromium-molybdenum-steel trellis frame with a self-supporting polyamide tank, Aluminum tapered handlebar and a front suspension composed of a WP-USD split function fork installed with 48 mm. The Husqvarna SM 701 also has a rear suspension system of WP-Monoshock with Pro-Lever linkage with 250 mm rear wheel travel. Both front and rear wheels come spoked with aluminum rim, with a 3.50 x 17” tire for front and 5.00 x 17” tire for the rear. The motorcycle has a ground clearance of 270 mm and a dry weight of 145 kg with a fuel capacity of 13 liters. It also features a Bosch 9M+ Two Channel ABS system with disengageable, supermoto mode.
