Honda XL250 (1974-75)

The Honda XL250 was a popular motorcycle model from 1974-75. Its engine is a four-stroke, single cylinder with a capacity of 248cc and a bore and stroke of 74 x 57.8 mm. The bike was air cooled and had a compression ratio of 9.1:1. It used a 28mm Keihin carburettor for induction, battery and coil for ignition, and kick starting. This motorcycle had a maximum power of 20 hp at 8000 rpm and a maximum torque of 0.6 kgf-m at 6500 rpm. The clutch was multiple disc in oil bath with a 5-speed transmission and chain final drive.

The frame of the Honda XL250 was semi-double cradle, while the front suspension used telescopic forks and the rear suspension used a swinging fork. Its front brakes were 150 mm drum brakes and its rear brakes were 140 mm drum brakes. The front and rear tyres measured 2.75-21 and 4.00-18, respectively.
