The Honda NX 650 Dominator was a 1989 model motorcycle with a four-stroke, single cylinder, SOHC engine that had a 644cc capacity and was air-cooled. It had a compression ratio of 8.3:1, single 40mm Keihin VE-type carb induction, and digital CDI ignition. The engine produced 45 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 53 Nm of torque at 5000 rpm. The bike had a wet, multiple discs clutch and a 5-speed transmission. The front suspension was a 41mm leading-axle fork, while the rear was a Pro-Link with a rear wheel travel of 195mm. The front and rear brakes were single discs with 2 piston calipers and 1 piston calipers, respectively. The motorcycle had a wheelbase of 1435mm, seat height of 870mm, and ground clearance of 250mm. Its dry weight was 163kg and had a fuel capacity of 16 litres, with an average consumption of 17.8km/lit. The bike had a top speed of 160.8 km/h and could reach 100 mph. It was tested by Motosprint Group in 1989 and ran a quarter-mile in 13.9 seconds with a top speed of 147.8 km/h. The braking distance from 60 to 0 km/h was 13.8 meters and the 100 to 0 km/h distance was 40.4 meters.
