Honda NSR 125F (1989)

The Honda NSR 125F is a motorcycle model from 1989 with a two stroke, single cylinder, and Reed valve induction engine. Its capacity is 124.8 cc / 7.6 cu-in with a bore x stroke of 54 x 54 mm. The cooling system is liquid cooled and has a compression ratio of 12.0:1. The ignition is capacitor discharge electronic ignition and it can be started both electrically and with a kick. The maximum power that can be reached is 31 hp / 23.1 kW @ 10500 rpm and the maximum torque is 20.85 Nm / 15.1 lb-ft / 2.1 kgf-m @ 9000 rpm. The clutch is multi-disc oil bath and has 6 gears with a final drive chain. The motorcycle has a double cradle tubular steel panels frame with a 35mm Marzocchi telescopic fork and a Marzocchi shock with Pro-kink adjustable preload for its suspension system. The front brakes consist of a single 316mm disc with a 2 piston caliper and the rear brakes have a single 220mm disc with a 1 piston caliper. The front and back tires are respectively 100/80 -17 and 130/70 -18 with a seat height of 800 mm / 31.4 in. The dry weight is 132 kg / 291 lbs with a fuel capacity of 10 Litres / 2.6 US gal. The consumption average is 18.0 km/lit with a braking system of 60 – 0 / 100 – 0: 13.4 m / 38.6 m, and a standing 1/4 Mile of 15.4 sec / 136.3 km/h, and a top speed of 160.0 km/h / 100 mph. The road test was done by Motosprint in 1988.
