The Honda CBX 400F was a motorcycle model produced from 1981-1983. The engine was a four stroke, transverse four cylinder with DOHC and 4 valves per cylinder. Its capacity was 399cc with a compression ratio of 9.8:1. The bike also had 4x 26mm Keihin induction, CDI ignition and electric starting. The maximum power generated was 48 hp at 10500 rpm. The transmission was a 6 speed with a final drive chain. The front suspension had 35mm Kayaba forks with 138 mm of wheel travel and the rear had a single air shock that allowed for 103 mm of wheel travel. The bike used one single 229mm disc for the front and the back brakes. The front tyre was 3.60 H18 and the rear was 4.10 H18. The dry weight of the bike was 138 kg and it could hold up to 18 litres of fuel. The average fuel consumption was 46 mpg. Additionally, the standing 1/4 mile time was 13.5 seconds at a top speed of 155 km/h.
