The Honda CB 650Z was produced from 1979-1982 and featured a four stroke, transverse four cylinder engine with a capacity of 626 cc. The bike had a compression ratio of 9.0:1 and was cooled by air. It was equipped with 4x 28mm Keihin carburetors and a transistorized ignition system, and had a maximum power output of 63 horsepower at 9000 rpm and a maximum torque of 51.5 Nm at 8000 rpm. Transmission was via a 5-speed gearbox and final drive was by chain. The front suspension was an adjustable telehydraulic fork and the rear suspension was a swinging arm fork with adjustable shock absorbers. The bike featured front brakes consisting of two 276mm discs and a rear brake with a 180mm drum. The front tire was 3.50 -H19 and the rear tire was 4.50 -H17. The bike had a length of 2135mm and a width of 855mm, with a wheelbase of 1430mm and a seat height of 795mm. Ground clearance was 155mm and dry weight was 198kg, with a fuel capacity of 18 litres.
