The Honda CB 650SC Nighthawk was produced between 1984-85 and had a four stroke, transverse four-cylinder, DOHC, 2 valves per cylinder engine, which had a capacity of 655cc. The maximum power generated by the engine was 72hp at 10,000rpm and the maximum torque was wet plate. The bike had a 6-speed transmission and the final drive was a shaft. It had a Showa air-spring, 39mm stanchion tube diameter and brake-actuated hydraulic anti-dive front suspension, and a dual Showa shock rear suspension, which was 5-way adjustable for spring preload, and 4-way adjustable for rebound damping. The front brakes consisted of 2 275mm discs, and had 2-piston calipers, while the rear brakes were a 180mm drum. The seat height was 780mm, and the wheelbase was 1457mm, it weighed 205kg dry, and the fuel capacity was 13.5 litres. The average consumption was 50.4mpg, and the top speed was 122mph.
