Honda CB450 Police Special (1966)

The Honda CB 450 Police Special was a 1966 motorcycle with a four-stroke, parallel twin-cylinder, DOHC engine, a capacity of 445 cc or 27.1 cu-in, and two valves per cylinder. It had a compression ratio of 9.0:1, with 2x 32mm Keihin carburetors and coil ignition with auto-advance and twin contact breaker. The motorcycle had a kick starting system and could generate 45 hp or 32.8 kW @ 9000 rpm, with a maximum torque of 37.4 Nm or 27.6 lb-ft @ 7000 rpm. The transmission was a 4-speed one, and the final drive was a chain system. The frame was tubular semi-duplex cradle with a single front down-tube. The front suspension comprised telescopic forks with two-way damping, while the rear suspension was a swing arm with shock absorbers with adjustable preload.
