Harley Davidson XLH 1200 Sportster (1999-02)

The Harley Davidson XLH 1200 Sportster was produced between 1999 and 2002, and featured a four stroke, 45 degrees V-Twin, OHV engine with 2 valves per cylinder, a capacity of 1199 cc, and a compression ratio of 9.7:1. The bike was air-cooled and had a maximum power of 61 hp with a maximum torque of 87 Nm. The bike had a five-speed transmission with a belt final drive and had a frame made of mild steel with tubular and circular sections. The swingarm was made of mild steel with rectangular tube sections and stamped junctions that were MIG welded. The front suspension was a 39mm fork while the rear suspension was coil-over with dual-adjustable preload. The front brakes were a single 292mm disc with a 2 piston caliper while the rear brakes were a single 292mm disc with a 1 piston caliper. The bike had a seat height of 740 mm, a wheelbase of 1515 mm, and a dry weight of 240 kg. The fuel capacity was 12.5 Litres or 3.3 US gallons, and the bike had a bore x stroke of 88.8 x 96.8 mm. The gear ratios for the five-speed transmission were: 1st – 9.647, 2nd – 6.891, 3rd – 5.125, 4th – 4.248, 5th – 3.643. The front tyre was 100/90-19, while the rear tyre was 130/90-16.
