Harley Davidson XL 883 Sportster (2002-03)

The Harley Davidson XL 883 Sportster was a 2002-03 model motorcycle with a four stroke, 45 degrees V-Twin engine and a capacity of 883cc. It had a compression ratio of 8.8:1 and was carbureted with a 40mm constant velocity with enrichener and accelerator pump. The ignition was digital CDI and it featured an electric starting system. The bike had a multi-plate clutch with diaphragm spring in oil bath, a 5-speed transmission, and a belt final drive. The frame was made of mild steel, tubular with circular sections and cast junctions, while the swingarm was made of mild steel, rectangular tube sections with stamped junctions that were MIG welded. The dimensions were 2237mm/88.3in in length, a wheelbase of 1522mm/60in, a seat height of 711.2mm/28in, and a ground clearance of 112mm/4.4in. The dry weight of the bike was 222kg/489.0lbs, while its wet weight was 263kg/579lbs. Its fuel capacity was 17 liters/4.5 US gallons.
