The Harley Davidson FLSTC 1340 Heritage Softail Classic was produced in 1984 and 1985. It had a four stroke, 45 degrees V-Twin engine with a capacity of 1337 cc and a compression ratio of 8.5:1. The engine was air-cooled and had two valves per cylinder. The lubrication system was dry sump and it had a 38mm Keihin carburetor. The motorcycle had analogue CDI ignition and electric starting. The maximum power output was 58 hp at 5000 rpm and the maximum torque was 97 Nm at 2350 rpm. The clutch was dry, multiple discs and cable operated. The transmission was a four-speed manual and the final drive was chain. The frame was made of steel and it had a double cradle frame. The front suspension was telescopic forks and the rear suspension was dual shocks. The front and rear brakes were both single 292mm discs. The front and rear tyres were both 140/90-16. The seat height was 673mm and the dry weight was 295 kg. The fuel capacity was 16 litres.
