The Ducati Monster 696 is a four-stroke, L-twin cylinder motorcycle with a 696cc capacity and a maximum power of 78.8 hp at 9000 rpm. It has a Marelli electronic ignition, APTC wet multiplate with hydraulic control clutch, and a 6-speed transmission with a chain final drive. The frame is made of tubular steel trellis and the suspension consists of a Showa 43mm upside-down fork and a progressive linkage with preload and rebound adjustable Sachs monoshock. The brakes are 2x 320mm discs with 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 245mm disc with a 2-piston caliper in the rear. The wheels are 3-spoke light alloy with front and rear tires of 120/60 ZR17 and 160/60 ZR17 respectively. The bike weighs 161kg dry and 185kg wet, with a fuel capacity of 15 liters and a consumption average of 6.1 L/100 km. It can reach a top speed of 210 km/h and complete a standing 1/4 mile in 12.7 seconds.
