Ducati Hypermotard 1100 (2007)

The Ducati Hypermotard 1100 was released in 2007 and featured a four-stroke, 90-degree L twin cylinder, SOHC engine with desmodromic 2 valves per cylinder. With a capacity of 1078 cc, it had a bore x stroke measurement of 98 x 71.5 mm and was cooled by air. Its compression ratio was 10.0:1 and it was lubricated by a wet sump using synthetic 15W-50 engine oil. Fuel injection was provided by a 45 mm throttle body and exhaust was via a lightweight 2-1-2 system with a catalytic converter and lambda probe. The ignition system was Marelli electronic and it started electrically. The motor was capable of producing a maximum power output of 69.3 kW / 90 hp @ 7750 rpm and a maximum torque of 102.9 Nm / 10.5 kgf-m / 76 lb-ft @ 4750 rpm. The dry multiplate clutch was controlled hydraulically and the transmission featured 6 speeds with a final drive via chain. The front sprocket had 15 teeth and the rear sprocket had 42. The primary drive had straight cut gears with a ratio of 1.84:1 and the gear ratio was 1st 37/15, 2nd 30/17, 3rd 27/20, 4th 24/22, 5th 23/24, and 6th 24/28. The frame was made of tubular steel trellis and front suspension was provided by 50mm Marzocchi forks. The front wheel travel was 165 mm / 6.5 in.
