The Ducati 750 Super Sport motorcycle was produced in 1990-91, powered by a 748cc, 90 degree L twin cylinder, DOHC engine with 4 valves per cylinder and a compression ratio of 9.0:1. It used a Mikuni BDST 38-B70 carburetor, Kokusan electronic ignition and had a maximum power output of 48.5 kW / 66 hp at 8500 rpm and a maximum torque of 72 Nm / 7.3 kgf-m / 53.1 ft-lb at 6500 rpm. The transmission was a 5-speed with a dry, multiplate clutch, and a chain final drive. The front suspension was a 41 mm Showa GD 031 inverted telescopic fork, while the rear suspension was a Showa GD 022-007-OX monoshock with a cantilever swingarm. The brakes were single 320mm and 245mm discs with 2 piston calipers, and the tyres were 120/60-17 front, and 170/60-17 rear. The bike weighed in at 173 kg dry and 193 kg wet, with a fuel capacity of 17.5 L / 4.6 US gal / 3.8 Imp gal, and had an average consumption of 5.7 L/100 km. The standing 1/4 mile time was 12.1 sec / 174 km/h / 108 mph, and the top speed was 210 km/h / 130 mph. The bike was available in white frame, red or black colours and was reviewed positively by Motorcycle News.
