Ducati 450 Scrambler (1970-71)

The Ducati 450 Scrambler Jupiter was a motorcycle produced between 1970 and 1971. It had a four-stroke, single-cylinder engine with a capacity of 435.7 cc and a compression ratio of 9.3:1. The ignition was through points and coil, which became electronic from 1973. The bike had a maximum power output of 16.9 kW at 6500 rpm and a wet, multi-plate clutch. It had a five-speed transmission with gear ratios of 1st 2.46, 2nd 1.73, 3rd 1.35, 4th 1.10, and 5th 0.97:1. The final drive was through a chain belt system with a final drive ratio of 2.917:1. The front suspension system used a 35 mm Marzocchi telescopic fork while the rear system used a swingarm, dual Marzocchi shocks, with 3-way adjustability. The front and rear brakes used drum brakes with a diameter of 180 mm and 160 mm, respectively. The bike had Pirelli tyres measuring 3.50 x 19 inches for the front and 4.00 x 18 inches for the rear. The motorcycle had a length of 2120 mm, a width of 940 mm, a height of 1150 mm, and a wheelbase of 1380 mm. The seat height was 770 mm and the dry weight was 133 kg. The fuel capacity of the bike was 13 L.
