Ducati 350SL/TL Pantah (1983-85)

The Ducati 350 SL/TL Pantah was produced from 1983-85 and featured a four stroke, 90 degrees L twin cylinder, Desmo SOHC engine with a capacity of 348.9 cc. It had a compression ratio of 10.4:1 and was fitted with Dell’Orto PHF30A induction and Bosch BTZ electronic ignition. The bike was capable of producing a maximum power output of 29.1 kW or 40 hp at 9600 rpm. The transmission was a wet, multiplate clutch with 5 speed gearbox and chain final drive ratio of 3.143:1. The front suspension was a 35 mm Paioli or Marzocchi fork while the rear suspension was a swingarm, Paioli twin shock with 3-way adjustable. The front brakes were two 260 mm discs while the rear brake was a single 260 mm disc. The bike had a top speed of 170 km/h or 106 mph for XL/TL models and 180 km/h or 112 mph for SL models. It had a fuel capacity of 18 L or 4.8 US gal/4.0 Imp gal and a dry weight of 177 kg or 390 lbs for XL/TL models and 176 kg or 389 lbs for SL models. The dimensions varied depending on the model with XL/TL models having a length of 2160 mm/85.0 in and a width of 710 mm/28.0 in, while the SL model had a length of 2150 mm/84.6 in and a width of 670 mm/26.4 in. The seat height also varied with XL/TL models having a height of 760 mm/29.9 in and SL models having a height of 740 mm/29.1 in. The bike was in production for a short period of time but managed to make an impact in the motorcycle world.
