The Ducati 200GT produced between 1962-63 was a four-stroke, single-cylinder motorcycle equipped with a SOHC engine with shaft and bevel gear-driven 2 valves per cylinder. It had a Dell’Orto UBF24BS carburetor and a point and coil ignition system powered by a 6V 40 W generator with a Marelli CW250A (GT: CW260N) spark plug and a SAFA 3L3, 13.5Ah battery. The bike had a multi-wet plate clutch, 4-speed transmission, and a primary drive ratio of 2.520:1. Its frame was a single-cradle type, with hydraulic telescopic forks on the front and swingarm dual Marzocchi shocks on the rear. The bike had a front drum brake measuring 180mm, while the rear brake was a drum measuring160mm. The Ducati 200GT weighed 111 kg if it was the Elite/SS model, or 115 kg if it was the GT model, with dimensions of 2000 mm (78.7 in) in length and 580 mm (22.8 in) in width and 965 mm (38.0 in) in height. The bike had a wheelbase of 1320 mm (52.0 in) and a fuel capacity of 17 L (4.5 US gallons/3.7 Imp gallons).
