The Ducati 1098 R motorcycle was released in 2008 and boasts a four-stroke, 90-degree L twin cylinder engine with DOHC and desmodromic four valves per cylinder. It has a capacity of 1198 cc and a compression ratio of 12.8:1, with a maximum power output of 132.4 kW at 9750 rpm and maximum torque of 134 Nm at 7750 rpm. The digital MotoGP-derived instrument display features readouts for speedometer, rev counter, lap times, time, air temp, coolant temp, battery voltage, A and B trips, fuel reserve trip, and DTC level selected, among other functions. The bike weighs 169 kg dry, has a fuel capacity of 15.5 L, and a seat height of 840 mm.
