The BMW R60 motorcycle was produced from 1956 to 1960 and was a popular model thanks to its reliability and durability. It was powered by a horizontally-opposed 594cc engine that produced 30 horsepower, allowing it to reach a top speed of around 95 mph. The R60’s frame was made from steel tubing and featured telescopic front forks and a swingarm rear suspension, providing a smooth ride. The R60’s styling was similar to other BMW motorcycles of the time, with a round headlight, flat seat, and dual exhaust pipes. The bike also featured a unique “cattle guard” front fender that protected the rider from debris while riding on unpaved roads.
