BMW R37 (1925-27)

The BMW R37 was a motorcycle produced from 1925-1927 by the German automaker BMW. The R37 came equipped with a 494cc (30.1ci) air-cooled, two-cylinder boxer engine capable of producing 18 horsepower. It had a top speed of around 85mph, making it one of the fastest bikes of its time. The bike had a unique frame design that allowed for good weight distribution and handling. The R37 had a single front brake and no rear brake. It used a rigid rear suspension and leading links front forks.

The R37 was one of BMW’s most successful racing bikes of the 1920s, winning many races and establishing BMW’s reputation as a leading manufacturer of motorcycles. The R37’s light weight, powerful engine, and excellent handling made it a favorite of many motorcycle enthusiasts.

The R37 was also equipped with innovative features for its time, including a single-shaft primary drive and a single-sided rear axle with bevel gears. These features allowed for smoother operation and reduced maintenance compared to other bikes of the time.
