The BMW R NineT Special Edition motorcycle was released in 2016 and features a four-stroke, two-cylinder horizontally opposed Boxer engine with two camshafts and four radially aligned valves per cylinder. The engine has a total capacity of 1170 cc and is air/oil cooled with a compression ratio of 12.0:1.
