BMW R 1200GS Rallye (2012)

The BMW R 1200GS Rallye motorcycle is a four-stroke, two-cylinder horizontally opposed Boxer bike from 2012 with a capacity of 1170cc and a maximum power output of 81 kW or 110 hp. The engine has a compression ratio of 12.0:1 and is air/oil cooled with a BMS-K+ 50mm throttle butterfly induction system. The clutch is a single-plate dry clutch, 180mm, and it has a fully-controlled three-way catalytic converter exhaust management. The transmission is six-speed with shaft final drive and gear ratios of 1st 2.375, 2nd 1.696, 3rd 1.296, 4th 0.065, 5th 0.939, 6th 0.848:1. The frame is a tubular steel frame, load-bearing power unit with telelever front suspension and stanchion diameter 41mm with central spring strut. The front brakes are two discs of 305mm with four-piston caliper, and the rear brakes are a single 265mm disc with two-piston caliper. Front and rear tires measure 110/80 ZR19 and 150/70 ZR17, respectively. The bike’s dimensions are length 2210mm, width 953mm, height 1450mm, wheelbase 1507mm, and seat height 850mm-870mm. The dry weight of the bike is 205 kg, while the wet weight is 238 kg with a fuel capacity of 20 L and tank reserve 4L. The standing 1/4 mile is 12.3 sec at 186.5 km/h or 115.9 mph, and the top speed is 206.8 km/h or 129 mph. The standing 0-100 km/h is 4.4 sec, while the standing 0-200 km/h is 19.6 sec with a standing 0-140 km/h of 7.9 sec and standing 0-1000 m of 23.4 sec at 203.3 km/h or 126.3 mph. Optional BMW Motorrad Integral ABS is available for both front and rear brakes.
