The BMW K100RT motorcycle was built from 1983 to 1989 and was a touring model. It had a liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 987cc and produced 90 horsepower. The bike had a top speed of around 130 mph and could achieve 0-60mph in just over 4 seconds.
The K100RT had a number of features designed for long-distance touring, including a large fairing for wind protection, a comfortable seat, and luggage carriers on both sides of the rear wheel. The suspension was adjustable to suit different rider preferences and road conditions, and the brakes were powerful and reliable.
The bike also boasted a number of advanced technologies for its time, including fuel injection, an electronic engine management system, and a liquid-cooled engine that provided more consistent performance in extreme temperatures.
The BMW K100RT was well-regarded by riders for its reliability and durability, and is still considered a classic touring motorcycle today. Its design was ahead of its time and set the standard for modern touring bikes. For those who enjoy vintage motorcycles, the K100RT is a popular choice for restoration projects and collectors alike.
