Benelli 250 Cafe Racer (1965-70)

The Benelli 250 Barracuda is a motorcycle produced from 1965 to 1970. It is powered by a four-stroke, horizontal single-cylinder, OHV engine with a capacity of 245cc and a compression ratio of 8.5:1. The bike uses a 24mm Bs2 Dell’Orto induction system and has battery and coil ignition, with a kick start feature. The bike’s maximum power output is 17.9 kW at 8200 rpm. The clutch is wet and multiplate, while the transmission is four or five-speed. Final drive is through a chain. The frame is made of pressed and tubular steel, with an open cradle design. The front suspension is a double action hydraulic telescopic fork with a steering damper, while the rear suspension is a swinging arm with hydraulic shocks with springs. The bike uses a 176 x 31 mm drum brake for the front and 158 x 38 mm drum brake for the rear, with the front tire being a 3.00-18 and the rear tire being slightly larger at 3.25-18. The ground clearance is 178 mm and the seat height is 762 mm. The bike weighs 105 kg dry and 113 kg wet, with a fuel capacity of 11.5 litres.
