Benelli 250 (1974-76)

The Benelli 250 2C Phantom was a motorcycle produced from 1974 to 1976. It had a two-stroke, parallel twin engine with a capacity of 231.4 cc, a compression ratio of 10.0:1, and was air-cooled. The lubrication was petroil with a 20:1 mixture, and the induction was via two 26 mm Dell’Orto VHB carburetors. The bike had an electronic ignition and was kick-started. It had a maximum power of 19 kW / 25 hp at 6800 rpm and a maximum torque of 25.5 Nm / 2.6 kgf-m / 18.8 lb-ft at 6500 rpm. The clutch was wet and multidisc, and the transmission was five-speed. The final drive was chain, and the gear ratios were 1st 20.10 / 2nd 13.18 / 3rd 9.22 / 4th 7.41 / 5th 6.21:1. The frame was a double cradle, tubular steel, and had telescopic forks for front suspension and a swinging arm with double adjustable shocks and concentric springs for rear suspension. The front brakes were drum with 4 self-winding shoes, 180 mm, and the rear brakes were drum, 158 mm. The front tyre was 3.00-18, and the rear tyre was 3.25-18.
