Aprilia SL 750 Shiver (2014)

Aprilia launched the SL 750 Shiver motorcycle in 2014. The bike has a four-stroke, longitudinal 90-degree V twin, DOHC engine with a capacity of 749cc. The engine has four valves per cylinder, liquid cooling, and a compression ratio of 11.0:1. It uses an integrated engine management system and injection with Ride by Wire technology to control the throttle bodies. The Shiver has a two-in-one stainless steel exhaust system with a three-way catalytic converter and Lambda probe. The ignition is digital electronic and is integrated with the injection, with two spark plugs per cylinder. It has a six-speed transmission with a chain final drive and uses spur gears for the primary drive. The frame is a dismountable steel trellis type connected with high-strength bolts to aluminum side plates, and the swingarm is an aluminum alloy with a reinforcement truss. The front suspension has a 43mm upside-down fork with 120mm of travel, while the rear suspension has a hydraulic shock absorber adjustable in spring preload and rebound damping, delivering 130mm of travel. The braking system uses a dual front 320mm disc with four-piston calipers and a 245mm rear disc with a two-piston caliper. It rolls on aluminum alloy wheels with a 17-inch diameter, with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tire. The bike has a rake of 25.9 degrees, a trail of 109mm, and a wheelbase of 1440mm. The seat height is 810mm, and the dry weight is 189kg, with a fuel capacity of 15 liters. It is capable of 95 hp at 9000 rpm, and a top speed of 224.3 km/h, with an average consumption of 5.1 L/100 km. The Aprilia SL 750 Shiver can reach a standing 1/4 mile in 12.3 sec and can complete a standing 1000m in 23.5 sec.
