In the year 2000, Aprilia produced only 150 units of their RSV 1000 Mille SP motorcycle. The bike boasts a four-stroke, longitudinal 60-degree V-twin engine with a capacity of 996cc and a bore x stroke of 100 x 63.4 mm. It has a compression ratio of 11.5:1, is liquid-cooled, and has fuel injection induction. The bike starts electrically and has a claimed horsepower of 108 kW/145 hp at 11,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 112 Nm/11.4 kgf-m/83 ft-lb at 8000 rpm.
The Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille SP has a multiple-disc, oil-bath clutch with patented PPC-assisted hydraulic control and a six-speed transmission with a final drive chain. The front suspension has an A43 mm upside-down Ohlins fork with titanium nitride-treated sleeves and a wheel travel of 120mm/4.7in. The rear suspension boasts a swing arm in aluminium alloy, progressive linkage with APS system, and an Ohlins Racing hydraulic shock absorber. The front brakes have two 320mm discs with four-piston calipers, while the rear brake has a single 220mm disc with a two-piston caliper. The bike has a front tire of 120/70 ZR17 and a rear tire of 190/50 ZR17.
