The Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille R 10th Anniversary Special Edition was a 2008 motorcycle model. It was powered by a longitudinal 60 degrees V-twin engine with a capacity of 997.6cc, producing a claimed horsepower of 143 at 10,000 rpm and a torque of 107 Nm at 7500 rpm. The motorcycle had an integrated electronic engine management system, indirect multipoint electronic injection and featured a dry sump lubrication with a separate oil tank. The clutch was a multiple disk in oil bath with patented PPC assisted hydraulic control, and it had a six-speed transmission with chain final drive. The frame was a box section sloping twin-spar aluminum alloy frame with a two-chamber adjustable Ohlins Racing steering damper with one-piece mounting. The suspension system included a 43mm diameter upside-down fork with adjustable compression rebound and preload for the front, and an aluminum alloy double banana swingarm with APS progressive system linkage and a hydraulic shock-absorber that was adjustable for rebound, compression, preload, and length for the rear. The front brakes consisted of two 320mm discs with four-piston calipers, and a single 220mm disc with a two-piston caliper for the rear. The motorcycle had a dry weight of 189kg, a fuel capacity of 18 litres / 4.8 US gal, and a top speed of 278.0 km/h / 172.74 mph.
