Honda CBR954RR Fireblade (2002)

The Honda CBR954RR Fireblade (2002) motorcycle has a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder, DOHC engine with a capacity of 954cc/58.2 cub. in. It also features a liquid cooling system, wet sump lubrication, and a nine-plate clutch with durable friction plate material. The bike has a max power of 113 kW/154 hp at 11250rpm and max torque of 101 Nm/10.3 kg fm/74.6 lb.ft at 9000rpm. It comes with a six-speed transmission and a #530 chain, O-ring sealed drive chain with 108 links. The front suspension is a 43mm inverted telescopic fork with stepless preload, compression and rebound adjustment, while the rear suspension is a Pro-Link with gas-charged H.M.A.S. damper featuring a 13-step preload and stepless compression and rebound damping adjustment. The bike’s frame is made of twin-spar extruded aluminum and a pivotless swingarm design utilizing a cast aluminum bracket attached to the swingarm pivots. The bike also features front brakes with 2x 330mm discs 4 piston calipers and rear brakes with a single 220mm disc 1 piston caliper. Its top speed is 286 km/h/178 mph and has two color options: Red/Black and Silver/Black. The 2003 model was the last to come with a hinged pillion seat. The FireBlade’s engine capacity increased via a 1mm larger bore, the fuel injection was updated, chassis geometry tweaked, and a new swingarm was fitted. The bike is named after Baba, one of the engineers that helped develop the model, who retired after its production.
