Zero FX (2017)

The 2017 Zero FX is a high-efficiency motorcycle that runs on a brushless electric motor, which is passively air-cooled and has a radial flux permanent magnet. Equipped with a 420-amp 3-phase brushless controller with regenerative deceleration, the Zero FX has a Z-Force Li-Ion intelligent modular power pack with two options: ZF 3.3 and ZF 6.5. The estimated pack life of the ZF 3.3 is 92,000 miles, while the estimated pack life of the ZF 6.5 is 185,000 miles. Its charging times are between 1.1 to 8.4 hours, depending on the type of accessory charger used. The motorcycle’s city ranges from 41 to 82 miles, while its maximum combined range (City and Highway) ranges from 24 to 62 miles. The 2017 Zero FX can reach maximum speeds of up to 85 mph while its maximum sustained speed is 70 mph. It has a total weight of 247 to 289 lbs and an acceleration of 4-4.3 seconds from 0 to 60mph. The Zero FX is outfitted with the necessary features for a comfortable and safe ride, such as Bosh Gen 9 ABS-aided brakes and showa suspension.
