The Yamaha YZF 1000 R1 MotoGP Lorenzo Replica was produced in limited numbers by Yamaha France, with only four units available. The bike has a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 998 cc/60.9 cu-in, and a compression ratio of 12.8:1. It runs on liquid cooling and synthetic, 10W/40 engine oil. The engine is fed by a Mikuni 45mm throttle body FI induction system, and ignition is controlled by TCI (Transistor Controlled Ignition) with an NGK, CR9EK spark plug. The bike has a 6-speed transmission with a “wet sump” lubrication system, and uses an “O” ring chain for final drive. The frame is made of Delta-box V aluminium, and the bike has high-performance suspension with adjustable preload, compression damping, and rebound damping. The front brake has dual 310mm discs and 6-piston calipers, while the rear brake is a single 220mm disc with a 1-piston caliper.
