Yamaha FZ6 Fazer (2005)

The Yamaha FZ-6S Fazer is a motorcycle that was released in 2005. It has a 599 cc four stroke, transverse four-cylinder, DOHC engine with 4 valves per cylinder. The bore x stroke measures 65.5 x 44.5 mm and has a compression ratio of 12.2:1. It is a liquid-cooled bike with a wet sump lubrication system running on synthetic 10W/40 engine oil. The engine is fitted with group injection type fuel injection and 36mm funnel diameter, as well as TCI Digital CDI ignition and NGK, CR9EK spark plugs. It has an electric start mechanism and produces a maximum power of 98 hp / 72 kW @ 12000 rpm and max torque of 63.1 Nm / 6.4 kgf-m @ 10000 rpm.

The clutch is a wet, multiple discs, cable operated type and transmission is a 6-speed system. It has a chain final drive and an aluminum twin spar frame. The front suspension is a 43mm telescopic fork and the rear suspension is a swingarm link less type monocross. The bike weighs 187 kg/414.2 lbs and runs on a 19 Litres / 5.0 US gal fuel tank that on average gives out 22.0 km/lit fuel consumption.

The front brakes are two 298 mm discs while the rear brakes are a single 245 mm disc. The bike has a front tyre of 120/70 ZR17 and a rear tyre of 180/55 ZR17. The dimensions of the bike are 2095 mm / 82.4 in in length, 755 mm / 29.7 in in width and 1085 mm / 42.7 in in height. It has a wheelbase of 1440 mm / 56.7 in and a seat height of 795 mm / 31.3 in, with a ground clearance of 145 mm / 5.7 in. The bike has a standing 1/4 mile of 11.2 sec and top speed of 227.8 km/h / 141.5 mph.
