It had a Dell’Orto SHB 16/16 carburetor, disc valve induction, and contact breaker and coil ignition. With a four-speed grip-shift, constant mesh transmission, it had a direct drive final drive. The frame was a pressed sheet steel, streamlined monocoque structure. The Vespa 125 GTR had front and rear drum brakes, and interchangeable wheels.
