The Velocette Venom Clubman motorcycle was produced from 1960 to 1966. It had a four stroke, single cylinder OHV engine with a capacity of 499cc/30.5 cub in and a compression ratio of 8.75:1. The bike was air cooled and had a wet sump lubrication system with a TT Amal racing monobloc carburetor and single megaphone exhaust. It had a kick start and a Miller type D6 ignition with automatic volt regulation. The bike had a dry, three-plate clutch and a 4-speed constant mesh close ratio transmission with chain final drive. The frame was a single down-tube and twin bottom rails with telescopic fork front suspension and Woodhead-Monroe springs with hydraulic damping rear suspension. The front brake was a 7.5 x 1.5 in drum and the rear brake was a 7 x 1 in drum. The bike had a top speed of 161 km/h/100 mph and came in black/chrome, red/black, and white/black colors. The dimensions were 2130mm x 700mm x 990mm (LxWxH) with a wheelbase of 1365mm and a dry weight of 183kg. The fuel capacity was 19.3 L/5.1 US gal and it had a seat height of 775mm. The bike had a Rake of 27 degrees and used WM2 x 19 wheels with 3.25 x 19 in ribbed front tire and 3.25 x 19 in studded rear tire.
