The Velocette U was a classic motorcycle manufactured in the year 1928. It was equipped with a small but powerful two-stroke single-cylinder engine that had a capacity of 249 cc, along with a bore stroke of 63 x 80 mm. The cooling system of the motorcycle was air-cooled, and the exhaust system consisted of one-into-two chrome. The starting mechanism was kick start, and the transmission was a 3-speed, hand controlled gearbox that could be operated with ease. The motorcycle had a chain driven final drive and was equipped with a front suspension by Webb forks and a rear suspension with a spring loaded saddle.
