The Velocette Thruxton Endurance was a motorcycle produced in 1969, with only 121 units produced. It had a 499cc four-stroke, single cylinder, OHV engine with a compression ratio of 8:1 and a maximum power of 25kW/34hp at 6200 rpm. The motorcycle had a 4-speed constant mesh, close ratio transmission and a chain final drive. It also had a tubular cradle frame and a rear sub-frame that was detachable. The dimensions of the bike were 2260 mm in length, 760 mm in width and 1130 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1365 mm and ground clearance of 165 mm. The motorcycle had a telescopic fork with hydraulic damping and an offset wheel spindle for its front suspension, and Woodhead-Monroe springs with hydraulic damping for its rear suspension. The bike had front and rear drum brakes of 7 x 1 in. and wheels of WM1 x 21 in. and WM3 x 19 in. for the front and rear wheels respectively. The front and rear tires were Trials Universals of 3.00 x 21 and 4.00 x 19. The fuel capacity was 11.35 L or 3 US gallons, and the dry weight was 170 kg or 375 lbs. The bike was produced in black with a silver tank. The ignition was with Miller D6 with auto volt regulation and it had a 6V 60W battery. It could be started with a kick start, and had a seat height of 838 mm. The motorcycle used an Amal 10TT9 Monobloc carburetor and a single exhaust with a Champion N3 or N4 spark plug.
