The Velocette MOV (1933-48) was a single cylinder, four stroke motorcycle with a 248cc engine and a compression ratio of 6.75:1. It had an air-cooled cooling system, a dry sump lubrication system, and a Miller dynamo ignition. The top speed of the motorcycle was 126 km/h / 78 mph. It came with a kick start and had a three-plate clutch. The motorcycle also had a 4-speed transmission and a chain final drive. The frame was made up of a single top and front down tubes and twin tube cradle, and the front suspension featured Webb forks with shock absorbers and a steering damper. The rear suspension was a spring loaded seat. The Velocette MOV was available in black/chrome, had a fuel capacity of 11.4 L / 3 US gal, and rode on 19 inch wheels with 6 inch drum brakes on both the front and rear. The front and rear tyres were 3.25 x 19 in. This motorcycle was initially hand changed, but later changed by foot. The Velocette MOV had a maximum power of 8.8 kW / 12 hp @ 5000 rpm.
