The Velocette KSS and KTT motorcycles were produced in various models from 1925 to 1948. They had a four-stroke, single cylinder, OHC engine with a 348.4 cc capacity and a bore x stroke of 74 x 81 mm. The compression ratio was between 7.0:1 and 7.75:1 depending on the model. They were air cooled and lubricated by dry sump. The carburetor was an Amal with the option for lever control. The ignition system was bobine and starting was by kick start. The maximum power output was 14 kW / 19 hp on the KTT Mk I model. The clutch was a wet multi-plate and transmission had 3 speeds for the KSS models and 3 or 4 speeds for the KTT models.
