The Velocette K series of motorcycles were produced from 1925 to 1931, with various models being released during this time period. The engine was a four-stroke, single cylinder, OHC with a capacity of 348.4 cc and a compression ratio of 6:1. The bike used a dry sump lubrication system and was equipped with an Amal carburetor and bobine ignition. The clutch was a wet, multi-plate design and the transmission had three speeds. Chain drive was used for the final drive. The bike had an open frame with a load bearing motor that formed part of the frame. The front suspension was a Webb fork with two friction dampers and the rear suspension was a spring loaded seat. Spoked wheels were used with 3.00 x 19″ tires on both the front and rear. The dry weight of the bike was 112.5 kg / 248 lbs. The bike could reach an average racing speed of 106 km/h / 66 mph. The bike was primarily black with gold pin striping.
