Triumph Tiger 70 (1937-40)

The Triumph Tiger 70 motorcycle was produced from 1937-1940 and featured a single cylinder, single port OHV engine with automatic lubrication to rockers and valve guides. It had a capacity of 249cc and a maximum power output of 16 horsepower. The frame was a single cradle made of steel, while the front and rear suspension were both rigid with dual springs and a spring-loaded saddle, respectively. The bike had drum brakes on both the front and rear wheels, and used a Lucas 6V Magdyno ignition system, with starting done by a kick. The fuel capacity was 12.5 liters and the motorcycle had a top speed of 104 km/h or 65 mph. The front and rear wheels were both Dunlop ribbed, with the front measuring 3.00 x 26″ and the rear being 3.25 x 26″.
