The Suzuki GT380L was produced in 1974 and had a two stroke, transverse three cylinder engine with a capacity of 371 cc. It had a compression ratio of 7.2:1 and was air cooled with a 3 into 4 stainless steel exhaust. The induction system used 3 x 24mm Mikuni carburetors and the ignition was powered by battery and coil with a kick start. The bike had a maximum power output of 27.7 kW at 7500 rpm and a maximum torque of 38 Nm at 6000 rpm. It had a 6 speed transmission and wet, multiplate clutch with a final chain drive. The front suspension used telescopic forks while the rear was dual shocks with a 5-way adjustable spring. The front brake was a single 275 mm disc while the rear was a 180mm drum. The tires were 3.00-19 4PR at the front and 3.50-18 4PR at the rear. It had a length of 2090 mm, width of 815 mm, height of 1125 mm, wheelbase of 1379 mm and ground clearance of 145 mm with a seat height of 787 mm. The wet weight was 171 kg and fuel capacity was 15 liters. The oil capacity was 1.3 liters and it had a top speed of 153 km/h with a standing 1/4 mile time of 13.8 seconds.
