Suzuki GT185M (1974-78)

The Suzuki GT185M/A/B was produced from 1974 to 1978 and was equipped with a two-stroke, parallel twin engine with a capacity of 184.8cc. It had a 7.0:1 compression ratio, dual 20mm Mikuni carburetors, and PEI ignition. The bike had a maximum power of 15.7 kW / 21 hp at 7500 rpm and a maximum torque of 20.6 Nm / 2.1 kgf-m / 15.2 lb-ft at 6000 rpm. The clutch was a wet 11-plate type, and the five-speed constant mesh transmission drove the chain final drive. Single disc and a drum brake were used for front and rear respectively. It had a single down-tube, tubular steel frame and was equipped with telescopic fork front suspension and twin shocks, springs, and adjustable preload rear suspension. The bike’s dimensions included a length of 1950 mm /76.8 in, a width of 770mm /33.3 in, and a height of 1065mm /41.9 in, with a wheelbase of 1321mm /52.0 in. The dry weight stood at 129kg /283 lbs, while fuel capacity was 10L/ 2.6 US gal / 2.2 Imp. Gal., with an average fuel consumption of 5.2L/ 100 km / 19 km/l / 45 US mpg / 54 Imp mpg. The oil capacity was 1.2L / 2.5 US pt / 2.1 Imp gal.
