The Suzuki GSX1100S Katana motorcycle was produced from 1992 to 1993 and had a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 1074cc. The engine had dual element air cleaners, a wet sump lubrication system, and was cooled by air. The compression ratio was 9.5:1 and it was equipped with a transistorized ignition. It had a standing 1/4 mile time of 11.9 seconds and was compared to the Honda CB1100RC and Kawasaki GPZ in a 1983 Motosprint road test.
