Suzuki GSX1100L (1980-81)

The Suzuki GSX1100L was a motorcycle model produced in 1980-81. It had a four stroke, transverse four cylinder engine, and a capacity of 1074 cc. Its cooling system was air cooled and its compression ratio was 9.5:1. It had a wet sump and trochoidal pump as lubrication, and 4x 34mm Mikuni BSS4SS induction. The bike was equipped with transistorized pointless ignition and a 12V, 14AH battery. Maximum power generated by the motorcycle was 72.9 kW / 100 hp @ 8700 rpm and the maximum torque was 85.3 Nm / 8.7 kgf-m / 62.9 ft-lb @ 11200 rpm. The bike had a wet 18-plate clutch and a 5-speed transmission. The final drive was a chain system. The front suspension was made up of telehydraulic forks and the rear suspension was swinging arm forks with adjustable shock absorbers. It had 2x 295mm front discs and a single 295mm rear disc for brakes. Tires had a size of 100/90-19 on the front and 130/90-16 at the back. The bike’s dimensions were approximately 2300 mm in length, 905 mm in width, and 1260 mm in height. The wheelbase was 1525 mm, and the wet weight was 259 kg. The bike had a fuel capacity of 15 litres or 3.4 gallons.
