The Suzuki GSX-R 1100G was a four-stroke, air/oil-cooled motorcycle produced in 1986. Its engine was a four-cylinder, DOHC design with a capacity of 1052cc and a maximum power output of 92kW or 125 horsepower. The motorcycle had 4 valves per cylinder and came with a 4-into-1 steel exhaust system. The induction was done through 4 x 34 mm Mikuni Flatslide CV carburetors, and the ignition was digital. The clutch was wet, multiple discs, cable-operated, and the transmission was a 5-Speed manual. The bike had a chain final drive setup with 114 links, and the gear ratios were 1st 2.38 / 2nd 1.63 / 3rd 1.25 / 4th 1.05 / 5th 0.91:1. The frame was ultra-lightweight and made entirely of aluminum alloy castings, and the bike featured a 41mm telescopic fork front suspension and a full-floater monoshock rear suspension. The wheels were alloy aluminum, double 3 spoke types, and the front and rear brakes were 2 x 310 mm discs with four-piston calipers and a 220 mm disc, respectively. The bike had a maximum speed of 249 km/h and a fuel consumption rate of 6.8 L/100 km. It had a length of 2115 mm, a width of 720 mm, and a height of 1235 mm, and its dry weight was 197 kg. The bike was available in blue/white and red/white. It was reviewed by Motosprint in their 1987 Group Test.
