Suzuki GSX-R 1000 (2015-16)

The Suzuki GSX-R 1000 motorcycle was released in 2015-2016 and has a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder, DOHC engine with 4 valves per cylinder and a capacity of 998.6 cc. It has a compression ratio of 12.9:1 and a liquid-cooled cooling system with a wet sump lubrication. The engine oil required is synthetic and 10W/40, and the exhaust is made of stainless steel with a 4 into 2 into 1 configuration. The fuel injection is operated using an electronically controlled ignition system. The clutch is hydraulically actuated with a multiplate wet clutch system. It has a maximum power of 136.1 kW/182.5 hp at 12000rpm and a max torque of 117 Nm/11.9 kg fm/86.3 lb.ft at 10000rpm. The bike has a 6-speed constant mesh transmission with chain final drive and DID50VAZ and 114 links. The frame is made of aluminum twin spar and has a fork rake of 24 degrees. The front suspension uses an inverted telescopic coil spring, while the rear suspension uses a link type coil spring both with oil damping. It has Brembo monobloc 4 piston caliper brakes with 2 x 310 mm discs at the front and a single 220 mm disc at the rear. The wheelbase is 1405mm / 55.3in and the seat height is 810 mm / 31.9 in. It has a wet weight of 203 kg / 448 lbs and a fuel capacity of 17.5 litres / 4.6 US gal / 3.8 Imp gal. Its standing 0 – 100 km/h / 62 mph is 2.8 sec, and its top speed is 299 km/h / 185.8 mph.
